Issue date: 26 October 2026 | Version: 1.0
Please read these Terms carefully before registering and before starting the consultation. If any clause is not clear to you, contact us at info@ftms.live before proceeding.
1. About the Platform
A telemedicine service provided by "Future Technologies for Medical Services Company" (the "Company", "we" or "us"), operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Licence No. 6300044037. The platform allows you to have a remote medical consultation with a practitioner licensed in the Kingdom, and enables the doctor to issue an electronic prescription when needed, at the doctor's medical discretion. The platform includes our website and the applications through which we provide the service.
We contract with United Pharmacies (the "Pharmacy") to provide this service to its customers. Your journey usually begins by scanning a QR code inside the Pharmacy, then moving to the platform, entering your name and mobile number, choosing the doctor, and entering the consultation. If the doctor issues an electronic prescription, it reaches the Pharmacy so that the pharmacist can review and dispense it. The Pharmacy is independent of us, and each of us has our own responsibilities as set out in these Terms.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms are shown to you at registration and before the consultation starts, and you accept them by ticking the consent box and pressing "I agree". Merely browsing the platform does not count as acceptance. We record your acceptance electronically (its time, its means and the version number) and keep it as proof, and we may ask for your acceptance again if the Terms change materially. Your acceptance of these Terms does not include consent to any use of your data or any communication with you beyond what is expressly stated in clauses 13, 15 and 16, and it does not change our statutory and contractual obligations towards the Pharmacy.
3. Eligibility and Minors
You may use the platform for yourself if you have reached the legal age of majority and have full legal capacity. A person who has not reached the age of majority may not register or enter a consultation alone; the service is provided to them through their legal guardian or the person who has authority over them, who registers, attends the consultation and consents on their behalf in a way that serves their best interests. We may ask to verify the guardian's capacity.
4. Registration Details and Mobile Number
You undertake that your registration details (name, mobile number and any other details requested from you) are correct, complete and up to date, and you may not register in another person's name or with false details. The registered mobile number must be yours, or belong to a person authorised to act on your behalf with valid authorisation or legal guardianship, and you must notify us immediately if the number changes or you lose control of it, because service and follow-up messages are sent to it. If you use the platform on behalf of another person, enter the patient's real details and tell the doctor so; the doctor may ask for proof of your authorisation, or to speak with the patient directly if their safety requires it.
5. Account Security
You are responsible for protecting access to your account, your phone and the verification codes you receive; do not share them with anyone, and notify us immediately at info@ftms.live if you suspect unauthorised use. We may ask you to verify your identity to the extent necessary to protect your account and your safety.
6. Accuracy of Medical Information
You acknowledge that you will give the doctor correct and complete information to the best of your knowledge, because the doctor's medical decision depends on it, including:
- (a) the symptoms you suffer from, how long ago they appeared and how they have developed;
- (b) your previous illnesses and operations;
- (c) the medicines you take (prescribed or not), dietary supplements and herbs;
- (d) any allergy to medicines, foods or other substances;
- (e) pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy, where this relates to your condition or to the medicine;
- (f) any other information you know may affect the assessment of your condition.
You must tell the doctor of any significant change in your condition, medicines or symptoms, during the consultation or after it, including any side effects after taking the prescribed medicine.
7. Effect of Concealment or Misleading Information, and the Doctor's Responsibility
If you conceal material information or provide incorrect or misleading information, this may lead to an inaccurate assessment, the prescribing of an unsuitable medicine or harm to your health. In that case the doctor may stop the consultation, refuse to prescribe a medicine, ask for additional information or refer you for an in-person examination, and the patient bears the consequences to the extent determined by the regulations. This does not relieve the doctor of professional responsibility; the doctor is responsible for assessing your condition, taking your medical history as far as necessary, asking appropriate questions and verifying what is required before any prescription or recommendation.
8. Consent to Remote Consultation
A remote consultation is a medical assessment carried out through the means of communication the platform provides (such as video chat and other means permitted by the regulations) without the doctor being with you in the same place. It has limitations, including that a direct clinical examination cannot be performed and that the doctor relies on what you describe and on what appears to the doctor in the call; the doctor may therefore decide that your condition needs an in-person examination, tests, imaging, or referral to a specialist or a health facility, and the consultation may end without a prescription, which is a medical decision made for your safety. Its benefits include saving time and effort, and its risks include loss of connection, poor connection quality, or incomplete information being available to the doctor, and no particular treatment outcome can be guaranteed. You have the right to ask the doctor anything about the consultation before you agree; it does not begin without your express consent, which is requested from you before it starts, and you have the right to withdraw consent and end the consultation at any time. Neither you nor the doctor may record or film the consultation without informing the other party and obtaining their consent.
9. Emergency Cases
This service is not intended for emergency or life-threatening cases, examples of which are: severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness or convulsions, severe bleeding, signs of a stroke, a severe allergic reaction, thoughts of self-harm, or any condition that you feel threatens your life. In these cases do not wait for a consultation; call the ambulance immediately on 997 or go to the nearest emergency department. If the doctor finds during the consultation that your condition is an emergency, the doctor will direct you to the appropriate urgent care and may stop the consultation for that purpose, and you must follow that direction without delay.
10. Medical Decision and Electronic Prescription
The doctor has independence in diagnosis, treatment plan and medical decision, and bears professional responsibility for them under the regulations; neither the platform nor the Pharmacy interferes with the doctor's decision. The doctor may issue an electronic prescription if the doctor considers it appropriate for your condition; we do not guarantee that any particular medicine will be prescribed or that a previous prescription will be renewed, whatever your request. The doctor may ask you for additional information, reports or tests, refer you to another party, or refuse to prescribe a medicine that the doctor considers unsuitable for you or that may not be prescribed remotely, and the regulations may restrict the remote prescribing of some medicines (such as controlled medicines). The prescription is issued in your name and for your personal use only, so it may not be used for anyone else, traded or tampered with. Follow the doctor's and pharmacist's instructions on doses and duration of use, and do not stop or change a treatment prescribed to you by another doctor without consulting them; if you notice side effects, contact a doctor or the pharmacist without delay, and go to urgent care if they are severe.
11. Dispensing Medicines
The Pharmacy and the pharmacist are professionally independent of the doctor and of the platform. After the prescription is issued it reaches the Pharmacy so that the pharmacist can review and dispense it, and the pharmacist bears responsibility for their professional review of the prescription and its dispensing, including verifying its compliance with the regulations and checking for drug interactions and allergies when the information is available, and giving you medication counselling. Issuing the prescription does not guarantee that the medicine is available or will be dispensed; the pharmacist may not dispense the prescription, may delay dispensing it, may ask for clarification from the doctor or from you, or may suggest an alternative, because the medicine is unavailable, because the prescription data is incomplete, because regulatory requirements are not met, or because of a professional need to consult the doctor. The price of the medicine is paid at the Pharmacy according to its prices and policies and is separate from the consultation fee, and any enquiry or complaint about the dispensed medicine should be directed to the Pharmacy; you may inform us so that we can help you contact it.
12. Medicines Not Dispensed Through the Platform
For your safety and in compliance with the regulations, doctors do not prescribe the following medicines through the platform, and no electronic prescription is issued for them, even if you ask for them or they were previously prescribed to you:
- a. All psychiatric and neurological medicines, including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medicines, antipsychotics and mood-disorder medicines, hypnotic and sedative medicines, medicines for hyperactivity and attention deficit, antiepileptics and anticonvulsants, neuropathic pain medicines, and Parkinson's and dementia medicines. You should go directly to a licensed, specialised psychiatrist or neurologist to assess and follow up your condition.
- b. Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and medicines controlled under the Law on Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and its schedules, including opioid analgesics.
- c. Medicines for terminating pregnancy.
- d. Stimulants and anabolic steroids.
- e. Medicines that by their nature require an in-person examination, regular laboratory follow-up or administration under medical supervision, such as injections, intravenous medicines, cancer medicines, immunosuppressants and blood thinners.
- f. Any medicine that the doctor considers requires an in-person examination or may not be prescribed remotely.
This list is indicative, not exhaustive, and we may amend it in accordance with the instructions of the competent authorities (the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority). If you take any of these medicines, do not stop it or change its dose without consulting your treating doctor. Their non-dispensing does not affect your right to the rest of the platform's services, and a doctor's or pharmacist's apology for not meeting your request is not a breach of the service.
13. Consent to Health Follow-up Messages
By accepting these Terms you acknowledge that you have read this clause and expressly agreed to it, and you agree that we may contact you on your registered mobile number (by text messages, messaging applications, notifications, phone calls or email) for the following health follow-up purposes:
- (a) checking on your health and how it develops after the consultation;
- (b) reminding you of the doctor's instructions, the treatment plan and review and follow-up appointments;
- (c) notifying you that the prescription has been issued and its status, and of test results, reports and medical recommendations related to your consultation;
- (d) alerting you to any information about the safety of the medicine prescribed to you;
- (e) asking for your opinion on the service and the quality of care you received.
- (f) promotional messages about our offers and services or the application's subscriptions
These messages may include health information about you, and we take care to limit unencrypted channels (such as text messages) to the minimum of detail, and you understand that no electronic means is entirely free of the risk of unauthorised access. These are follow-up messages and not promotional messages, and we do not use them for promotion. This consent is limited to the purposes mentioned above only, and you have the right to withdraw it at any time as set out in clause 14.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
We process your personal data, including your health data, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its Implementing Regulations and the related regulations, which apply alongside these Terms. We use only the data necessary to provide the service (registration, identity verification, enabling the doctor to assess your condition, documenting the consultation, issuing the prescription and sending it to the Pharmacy, communicating with you about the service and follow-up, and complying with the regulations), and we do not use it for any other purpose except with your consent or as the law permits. Your health data is confidential, and only those who need it to provide your health service may see it, and only to the extent necessary, and they are bound by confidentiality. We do not sell your data, and we do not transfer it outside the Kingdom or disclose it to a party outside it except in accordance with regulatory controls and as set out in the Privacy Policy. If a leak of your data occurs that would harm you or affect your rights or interests, we will notify you of it in accordance with the law.
15. Data Sharing
We share your data only to the extent necessary with:
- (a) the treating doctor;
- (b) the Pharmacy, to the minimum necessary to review and dispense the prescription;
- (c) technical, logistics and communication service providers who process data on our behalf and on our instructions under contracts that oblige them to protect it;
- (d) other healthcare providers upon referral or continuity of care, and the competent official authorities when the law requires;
- (e) any other party with your express consent, such as the application in accordance with clause 16.
16. Fees and Payments
The consultation may be paid, and its fees and any tax or other fees will be shown to you clearly before you confirm the consultation, and nothing is charged except after your consent.
17. Subscriptions
If a subscription or package is applied (on the platform or in the application), we undertake the following:
- (a) to show the price, subscription period, what it includes and the renewal and cancellation method clearly before you subscribe;
- (b) to make cancellation easy;
Application subscriptions are subject to its terms, and subscribing to any paid service in it is not a condition for obtaining the consultations or prescriptions of this platform.
18. Connection Loss and Incomplete Consultation
The connection may be lost during the consultation because of the internet, the device or the network, and we are not responsible for the quality of your internet connection or your device. If the connection is lost, please re-enter another consultation with the same doctor or another doctor, and in all cases do not rely on an incomplete assessment, and see a doctor or urgent care if your symptoms are worrying.
19. Prohibited Use
You are prohibited from:
- (a) impersonating another person, or using details or a mobile number that are not yours or that you are not authorised to use;
- (b) providing false or misleading information with the intent of obtaining a medicine or any undeserved benefit;
- (c) requesting medicines or prescriptions repeatedly or contrary to the doctor's instructions or the regulations, or selling or trading prescribed medicines;
- (d) abusing, threatening or harassing doctors, pharmacists or staff;
- (e) recording, filming or publishing the consultation without the consent of the parties;
- (f) sharing your account or verification codes with others;
- (g) attempting to hack or disrupt the platform or gain unauthorised access to it, uploading malicious software, or using automated means to collect data from it;
- (h) using the platform for purposes that violate the regulations or public morals.
20. Account Suspension
We may restrict, suspend or terminate your use of your account if you breach these Terms or the regulations, or if misuse, fraud or identity impersonation is established or reasonably suspected, or if this is necessary to protect the security of the platform or the safety of doctors and users, or if a competent authority requests it. Wherever possible we will notify you of the reason and allow you to respond, unless an urgent or regulatory matter prevents this. Suspension does not affect your right to access your medical data and obtain a copy of it in accordance with the law, and you may request a review of the decision by writing to us at info@ftms.live.
21. Responsibilities of the Parties and Your Rights
Each party has its responsibilities within the limits set by the regulations:
- (a) We: are responsible for operating the platform in compliance with the regulations and licences, for ensuring that the service is provided by licensed doctors, for protecting your data, and for the services we provide to you;
- (b) The doctor: is professionally responsible for the doctor's assessment, diagnosis, decision and recommendations in accordance with the regulations governing the practice of healthcare professions;
- (c) The Pharmacy and the pharmacist: are responsible for reviewing the prescription, dispensing the medicine and medication counselling;
- (d) You: are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, following the medical and pharmaceutical instructions, protecting your account, and complying with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms exempts from liability where the law does not permit exemption, and nothing is a waiver by you of any right the law gives you, including your right to claim compensation for harm, your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law, and your rights as a patient and consumer. If any clause of them conflicts with a mandatory legal provision, the legal provision applies. We are not liable for delay or failure of the service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as a general power or telecommunications outage or disasters) provided that we have done what is necessary to avoid them or reduce their effect, and that does not prejudice your right to recover what you paid for a service that was not provided to you.
22. Complaints
If you face a problem, or have a remark or complaint, you can:
- (a) write to us at info@ftms.live stating your name, mobile number, the date of the consultation and a description of the problem, and we will confirm receipt and reply to you within 3 working days.
23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent judicial authorities in the Kingdom have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, in accordance with what the regulations provide, and this does not restrict any right you have to resort to the bodies set out in clause 27.
24. General Provisions
If any clause of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses remain in force. If there is any difference in meaning between the Arabic version and the English version, the Arabic version is the reference.
